Biography:

Andrea Andrian

Born in Pordenone in 1983, in his early years began to study the guitar under the tuition of Maestro Paolo Pegoraro, attending initially the “Pietro Edo” Music School in Pordenone and subsequently the “Centro Chitarristico Francisco Tàrrega”. In 2009 he obtained the Classical Guitar Diploma at the “Jacopo Tomadini” Conservatory of Udine, guided by Maestro Fabio Spruzzola and two years later, at the same institute, the Specialist Degree in Classical Guitar Interpretation (Diploma Specialistico di Secondo Livello Concertistico-Interpretativo). His broad musical formation is enhanced with a Musicology Degree achieved in 2005 at the University of Udine with a dissertation on the History of the Verdi Theatre of Pordenone; as well as the Masters Degree in Music Composition for Film and Television at the University and Conservatory of Udine completed in 2012. He currently attends the Specialist Degree in Instrumental Pedagogy at the “Agostino Steffani” Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto. Amongst the numerous masterclasses and courses in which he has particpated throughout the years, most noteworthy are those held by Stefano Grondona, Pablo Marquez, Pavel Steidl, Carles Trepat and Stefano Viola. His keen interest in chamber music is shown by his constant participation in several music projects including guitar ensembles as well as groups with other instruments. Both as a soloist and in chamber music formations, he has played in several Italian and European cities such as Rome, Milan, Ljubljana, Koper (Slovenija), Pula (Croatia), Bordeaux (France), and has been appraised in various international competitions. In the present time he teaches at the Segovia Guitar Academy (in Pordenone) and at the Accademia Musicale Serenissima (in Sacile). He plays a guitar handcrafted by luthier Luca Waldner.

 

 

Mauricio Gonzàles

Born in Mexico in 1977, he begins to study classical guitar at the age of eleven with Maestro Pedro Soto. In 1996 he is accepeted into the Faculty of Music at the Universidad Veracruzana, where he continues under the guidance of Maestro Enrique Velazco.
In 1999 he arrives to Italy to complete his studies with Maestros Paolo Pegoraro and Stefano Viola at the “Francisco Tárrega” International Guitar Academy at Pordenone, where he is counseled to master technique and gains a thorough knowledge of stylistic interpretation. This preparation allows him to obtain with maximum marks the Diploma at the Conservatoire in Castelfranco Veneto and the Specialist Degree at the Conservatoire in Udine.
Amongst the numerous masterclasses in which he participated, most noteworthy are those held by Stefano Grondona, Oscar Ghiglia, Pavel Steidl, Eduardo Fernandez, Pablo Marquez, Alvaro Pierri, Carlo Marchione, Alberto Ponce, Giampaolo Bandini.
As a soloist and in various chamber music formations he has appeared in Mexico, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Repubblic. As a member of the Trio Nahual, he has taken part in numerous international guitar and chamber music competitions gathering several acknowledgements, such as twelve first prizes. In 2007 with the Trio he obtains the Merit Diplomas from the “Francisco Tárrega” Guitar Academy as from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana of Siena, granted by Oscar Ghiglia. In 2008 the Trio Nahual gives the world premiere of Marco De Biasi’s Concert for Three Guitars and Orchestra.
He practices an intense didactic activity at the Segovia Guitar Accademy, the C.E.M. “Cultura e Musica” Social Cooperative and at the Opitergium Music Institute of Oderzo. He performs on a guitar made by austrian luthier Bernd Holzgruber.
