Biography:

Since he was a child, Alberto Busettini grows a deep interest in the Harpsichord and in Early Music. This passion became easily his profession and life: after graduating with highest marks and mention at the Conservatory A. Steffani of Castelfranco Veneto (Italy), he specialized in Harpsichord, Basso Continuo and Baroque Orchestra in The Netherlands and after at Chigiana Accademy with Christophe Rousset. With thousands concerts in Europe and North and South America, Alberto is an appreciated soloist and conductor, playing also with many early music groups like Contrarco Baroque Ensemble, Opera Stravagante, Venice Baroque Orchestra in Early Music Festivals like Grandezze e Meraviglie, Alte Musik Live Berlin, Musikfest Kreuth, Wunderkammer, Mozarteum Argentino, Urbino Musica Antica, with many important artists like Alfredo Bernardini, Sara Mingardo, Stefano Montanari, Enrico Bronzi, Silvia Frigato, Anna Fusek, Sergey Malov, Maddalena del Gobbo, Michael Radulescu, Filippo Maria Bressan, Gabriele Cassone. Alberto Busettini is appreciated as solist, performing often on original instruments like Walter harpsichord (1696) in Tolmezzo (IT) or in Paris on Collesse 1748 harpsichord. As harpsichordist Alberto cooperates with Venice Baroque Orchestra conducted by Andrea Marcon and also cooperates as harpsichordist and “maestro di sala” for the Early and Baroque Music Projects in the Teatro La Fenice, Venice. In 2019 he performed Brandenburg Concertos with Enrico Bronzi and Accademia Arrigoni, Benda’s Harpsichord Concertos with Contrarco Baroque Ensemble guest at “Alte Musik Live Berlin”. In 2020 he will be given recitals and concerts in USA, Asia and Europe. Since 2019 Alberto Busettini teaches Harpsichord at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia of Portogruaro, Venice. From 2017 he is Artistic Director of Festival Risonanze.
