Biography:

Zoran Markovic studied with renowned teachers such as Franco Marzorati, Franco Petracchi, Gerg Hörtnagel and Klaus Stoll. He has been awarded in numerous competitions at home and abroad. He regularly plays as a soloist with orchestra and as a chamber musician all over the world. Among his cooperations are the Octuor à Vent Paris Bastille, Slowind, Ţrio Empiem, Euro Octet, Slavko Osterc ensemble, Wanderer Ensemble, Vienna-Ljubljana Ensemble, Vienna Clarinet Connection, Ariart, and others. Among the orchestras with which he played as a soloist we remember the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Slovenicum ensemble, the Strings Chamber Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra, St. George's Strings, the Celje Chamber Orchestra, the Amadeus Chamber String Orchestra, Junge Kärntner Bläserphilcharmonie , etc. etc. Since January 2004 he has taught at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. He is also a double bass teacher at the Secondary School for Music in Ljubljana. He regularly participates as a teacher at the International Summer Music Academy Feldkirchen in Austria, and at the Montenegro-Music Festival. He is also invited to some of the major European chamber music festivals.
