Guillaume Pasch

Biography:

Guillaume Pasch performs internationally as a soloist, ensemble conductor, chamber musician, and guest concertmaster. He regularly gives master classes, and his students have won auditions for major orchestras in Austria and across Europe.

As concertmaster and conductor of the “Salonorchester Alt Wien” at the Kursalon, which specializes in Viennese Classicism and the music of the Strauss family, he has conducted numerous concerts in the Austrian capital and on tours abroad, conducting with the violin in the Viennese tradition.

He has performed as a soloist on numerous stages in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Croatia, Portugal, Sweden, Colombia, Peru, Lebanon, Japan, and South Korea, in venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Bolshoi, and the Maliy Saal of the Moscow Conservatory, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Metropolitan Opera Concert Hall and the Nippon Foundation in Tokyo, the Crystall Hall in Asahikawa, the Gran Teatro Nacional and the Teatro Municipal in Lima, the Great Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, and the Auditorio Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, among others. He has also been invited to international festivals such as “White Nights of Karelia” (Russia), “Asahikawa-Vienna Festival” (Japan), and the “Orfeo International Music Academy” (Vienna). His live performances and concert broadcasts have been heard on radio and television, including on Radio Clásica (Spain) , NHK (Japan) and Govorit Moskva (Russia), as well as at the Opéra Comique in Paris for the live broadcast of “Le Figaro.”

Guillaume Pasch is currently the artistic director of the Iberoamerican Chamber Orchestra, which brings together musicians from Spain and throughout Latin America and is based in Madrid; he leads the orchestra on concert tours throughout Spain.

A regular contributor to the Iberacademy program in Medellín and to Sinfonía por el Perú, founded by tenor Juan Diego Flórez, he frequently performs as a soloist-conductor with the program’s orchestra, contributing to the training of its members and serving on the artistic committee.

His students have won numerous auditions to become members of major orchestras in Austria and across Europe, such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Austrian Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO Wien), the Vienna State Opera, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, the Orchestre de Paris, the Kärntner Symphonieorchester, etc...”.

He has given master classes at the National University of Bogotá and EAFIT University in Medellín (Colombia), in Perm and at the Petrozavodsk Conservatory (Russia), as well as at the Beirut Conservatory (Lebanon) and the National University of Music in Lima (Peru). He holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and completed postgraduate studies at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia); his teachers included Dora Schwarzberg, Marina Kesselman, Josef Hell, and Siegfried Führlinger.

Guillaume Pasch resides in Vienna and plays a J.B. Vuillaume violin built in 1845.
